The Making of A Cardboard Train

TEXT and IMAGE by POPPY SEED

Cardboards are magical.
You can transform them into many things
such as a farmhouse, a Ferrari or a ferry.

Here is the cardboard train making tutorial.

Step 1: Select the cardboards according to the size

Step 2: Cut out the windows & doors with blade.

Step 3: You can wrap the box with colourful paper.
Or like me, you can just paint it.

Step 4: Last but least,
don't forget about the wheels, exhausts, curtain, sign, food tray, steering, bell, carpet and a doggy.

The more details you put in, the more exciting kids you will find...

Just like this one. :)

Choo-choo Train Themed Birthday Invites

Text and Image by POPPY

"I am having so much fun making my birthday invite envelopes"

"Look, I am stamping the envelope with my white fingers,
and then I draw the little rabbit's ears and eyes and feet"

"Haha, they look too cute!"

"Ta-da, my birthday invites are ready to be sent out."

"My grandpa, grandma, gonggong and popo are loving these invites."

"When I turn 30, I am going to dig out these cards again.
Hmmm, I wonder how it would feel like."

The making of Christmas Socks

TEXT and IMAGE by POPPY SEED

CHRISTmas

"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
-Romans 6:23

I made these Christmas Stockings for
LE MOON's Eatery at Kajang.

It's pretty simple and easy to make.

Step 1: Cut out the stocking template (hard paper)

Step 2: Select the stocking fabric.
Then, trace the outlines of the stockings on the fabric and cut them out.

Step 3: Sew 2 pieces of fabrics together

Step 4: Turn the stocking inside out.
Then stuff it with cotton

Step 5: Sew or glue (with fabric glue) the opening of stockings

Step 6: Create patterns using felt.

Step 7: Glue the felt pattern on the stocking.

Step 8: The stockings can now be hung on the wall or hallway.

Painting "Coming Home"

TEXT and IMAGE by POPPY SEED

"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes,
and death shall be no more,
neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain anymore,
for the former things have passed away" - Revelation 21:4

I am coming home.

16.365 Washi Tape VS Designer Paper-Dress

TEXT and IMAGE by POPPY SEED

Here comes another idea for card making~
Breaking through the ordinary,
and let imagination take over!

I have a beautiful friend.
But how can I describe her beauty?
Hmmm.. perhaps it's something like a princess dress?

< Work in Progress >

Step 1: Sketch the princess dress

Step 2: Use Washi Tape to create the pattern of the fabric (easy peasy~)

Step 3: Cut out the dress according to the outline.
The excessive Washi Tape can be cut off easily.

Step 4: Decorate the dress with princessy lace and cute button.
Stick them with glue gun

Step 5: Write the greetings at the back of the card.

The card is now ready to be given to my beautiful friend.
She is beautiful not because of her features and fashion sense (though she is)
but because of her gentle and quiet spirit.

Blessed Birthday to you, my dear!

纽扣逃跑了

Text and Image by POPPY SEED

15.365 Washi Tape vs My Dirty Pens

Text and Image by POPPY SEED

我心爱的墨水笔肮脏了,墨汁沾到笔身。
每次拿笔后,我的手也会沾到墨汁。(烦)

所以呢,我就拿出万能的Washi Tape
它是用纸制成的彩色贴纸

只需把笔身贴一贴
看起来就像新的一样。

看,比原来的还要美。
而且拿着有纸的质感的墨水笔,笔也都不溜手了。
